Coopers contributes to Victorian Bushfire Appeal

Coopers Brewery has contributed $30,000 in cash to the Red Cross and is assisting in a number of major fundraisers to help victims of the Victorian bushfires.

Coopers Chairman, Mr Glenn Cooper, said the Coopers Board had approved the donation this morning and the cheque for $30,000 had been immediately sent to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

“The cash contribution is on top of the assistance Coopers and its subsidiary companies interstate are making to major fundraisers taking place around Australia,” he said.

Mr Cooper said that Coopers’ interstate subsidiary Premium Beverages had also sent a pallet of cold mid-strength Mild Ale to help the fire fighters around Yea.

“Everyone at Coopers has been shocked by the extent of the fires and extend their deep condolences and sympathy to everyone affected by the disaster,” he said.
